Spring Ulmer lives in an attic apartment in Pennsylvania. She is the author of Benjamin’s Spectacles and The Age of Virtual Reproduction. She spent part of the summer in woods where escaped convicts were sprinkling pepper every which way to throw dogs off their trail. Drinking tea in Sénégal thereafter civilised her.
