As we know capsule filling is a very complex process and there must be many steps taken to ensure that the product to be encapsulated has to be correctly developed to get mass uniformity. If we will consider solid medicines problems might appear if the powder will have poor flow properties. To avoid this good flow properties are a must to ensure satisfactory result in fill weight control and ensure the good uniformity of the mass of the capsule contents.  For liquid medicines if there is a very low viscosity, the leak can occur from two-piece shells soon enough after the filling took place. They are also very complex machinery and every capsule format is composed of a few pieces, and all of the pieces have to be aligned perfectly and adjusted in order to avoid the breaking or opening of capsules. Because broken capsules can release the contents and stain the entire batch produced. Also it is hard to manufacturer the small batch automatically, because of machinery.  Hard Gelatin capsules could eventually undergo the joining reaction which renders the gelatin to less soluble and it might affect the release of contents of the capsule. During the manual capsule filling process then there is a transfer of the product to the capsule powder manual filling is performed volumetrically.
